Miracle Sunday
What is Miracle Sunday? It is an initiative, a global effort in the UNITED Methodist Church (30,000 congregations worldwide) to help raise up 500 new pastors across Africa, Europe, and the Philippines. Through this effort, we seek to address a long standing disparity. Seventy-one percent (71%) of U.S. clergy hold a master’s degree, compared to only five percent (5%) outside the U.S. by establishing an Endowment for Clergy Theological Education. While the General Conference allocates more than 50 million for U.S. Seminaries, only 5 million is provided for more than 20 seminaries in other regions of the world. This initiative will help close the gap and support the development of strong, well-prepared leaders across our global connection. The North Carolina Conference has a goal of having 90% participation among the congregation. Let's be one of those churches! Thank you for your generosity. You can give through the collection box in the back of the sanctuary, the church office or online by using this QR code. Write “Miracle Sunday” in the memo.
